Guarantee
All of our Timber Garden Buildings are covered by our basic 12 month Guarantee. This guarantee covers every aspect of your product including, roofing felt and glazing.
In the very rare event that a problem arises within 12 months of your Timber Garden Building being erected please advise us as soon as reasonably practical preferably via email to sales@sergeantsportablebuildings.co.uk. We will also require photographic evidence on a dated photo to assist us in rectifying the problem correctly.

The guarantee does NOT include shrinking / twisting / warping / Knot holes / Shakes or Splits in the timber as timber itself is a naturally occurring product.

10 Year Anti-Rot Guarantee
. We offer a 10 year limited guarantee against rot to all our Timber Garden Buildings.

This Anti Rot Guarantee does not cover:
Movement, warping or splitting of timber as this is a Naturally Occurring Process, Roofing Felt / Roof Coverings, Fittings and fixtures, Glass,Base Work.

To be covered by this Limited Anti-Rot Guarantee you will need to meet a number of conditions:
The Building must be installed on a suitable solid level base situated a reasonable distance away from walls / fences / hedges to allow for the air to pass freely around and enable you to treat the building as required on a regular basis. The agreement will be void if any part or sections of the timbers are cut, notched or drilled without being fully retreated with a quality spirit based preserve. A quality spirit based (Not Water Based) timber treatment MUST be applied to the whole of the Building regularly. All sheds are delivered with one coat of an oil-based preservative treatment, however we strongly recommend that it is further treated with at least one more coat within the first year. It must them be treated at least every 12 months thereafter to maintain the general overall appearance of the timber and to comply with our conditions.

The guarantee will become void and invalid if any of the below items come into effect;

It should be noted that timber is a natural product and prone to changes in appearance, including some movement and the occurrence of small knot holes or splits in extreme temperatures and weather conditions. Any splits, knots or similar visual imperfections in the timber will not affect the structural integrity of the product in any way, are not considered to be damage, and do not render the product unfit for purpose. Whilst every effort is made to hand pick timber without visible knotholes or splits there may be occasions where timber is selected in good faith that contains what appears to be a solid knot. Over the course of time / during movement of the product etc it may occur that these small knot holes are then dislodged from the timber leaving a small knot or crack. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for this maturing of the product.

Storm Damage
You will be required to have your building named on your house insurance as we do NOT cover Storm Damage as part of our Guarantee.  In the event of Storm damage we will not come out to repair or replace any components or part of the building until we have received written instructions from your Insurance Company to do so.
